Dear Korea CQ members,

On October 20, Korea CQ visited Institut Pasteur Korea, with the invitation by Hakim Djaballah, CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea.

Members participated are: Myung Hee Oh, Do Won Seol, Hakim Djaballah, Sharifah Zabidah Haron, Kurie Cho, Jae Chul Sung, Young Joo Lee, Jungwha Choi, Didier Beltoise, Si Eun Song, Hee sun Lee, Youngha Go, For the special guests, Tainam Jung, Doris Walchli Giraud, Celine Balmelle, Malik Khandriche, and Mr. Joel Lee attended.

The members gathered at the COEX Intercontinental lobby and departed together taking the bus prepared by Hakim Djaballah.

When the bus arrived at the Institute, Hakim Djaballah, Sharifah Zabidah Haron and the scientist team from Institut Pasteur Korea warmly welcomed members. 



On the day, Dr. Jerome Kim; Director General of IVI, Hwang Il Ung; The Medical commander of the armed forces medical command, Dr. HyangSook Yoo; Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology and Ida Daussy; CEO of Ida Daussy Company have participated.



Before the program began, members enjoyed buffet style dinner specially prepared by Hakim Djaballah for CQ, and appreciated joyful time.



During the dinner, there was lucky draw time and lucky members of the day were Do Won Seoul and Kurie Cho.



After finishing the dinner, Hakim Djaballah gave a short presentation about the goal of Institut Pasteur Korea, about global partners and about the recently focused disease, the MERS-CoV. It was great opportunity to learn about his passion on researching.



With the lead of Dr. David Shum and Dr. Constatin Radu, members started to have the laboratory tour of Institut Pasteur Korea.

The chemistry and biology laboratory was on the 5th floor of the building and members had chance to see the machine and lab where researchers develop vaccines.



It was interesting time to learn about how Institut Pasteur Korea discovers new medicines.

We thanks to Hakim Djaballah for his warm hospitality for giving us an opportunity to visit Institut Pasteur Korea. Also we thank all members who were able to take their precious time to attend the Korea CQ Visiting Institut Pasteur Korea.
