Korea CQ members
We visited Korea’s beautiful island Geojedo and Oedo as
our CQ trip from October 19 to 20.
Although the meeting time was very
early in the morning, Kim Kwiyeon and her son, Chung Yuni, Chung Mark, Park Hee
Sung, Lee Hyun Ju, Jeong Ian, Choi Jungwha, Joris and Beatrice Dierckx, Sandrine
Spriet, Christophe Piganiol and Susan Ling, Vincent Bernard and Eve Law-Thime
and their son Adrien, Samia Mounts and her friend Denis Elizabeth Colombo, and
Didier Beltoise were very punctual in keeping the time.
Due to our
members' cooperation and the fast check-in process, we had a smooth start to
this trip
Then, we boarded on the 8a.m. flight to Kimhae. Approximately
an hour later, we arrived at the Kimhae airport.
Upon arrival, we took a
limousine specially prepared by DSME for our members.
Our first
destination was the ‘Eunha Temple’.
When we walked to the top of the
stage, beautiful lotuses greeted us. All members were amazed by the magnificent
scenery of the EunhaTemple.
After touring the Eunha Temple, a
special meeting with a chief monk was arranged for us. Chief Monk gave us a very
insightful talk on‘Thinking Positively’.
During the talk, some rice
cakes and drinking traditional tea were provided for us. Combination of peaceful
scenery of the temple, an insightful talk by the Chief Monk, and delicious
snacks were so healing and mind-refreshing!
After
looking around Eunha temple, we went to the Admiral Hotel to check-in and had a
lunch at the buffet.
Then we headed to Gonggogi to see the
beautiful scenery of Geojedo.
At the top of mountain, we were able to
enjoy the scenery of Geojedo with the cool wind breezes. Before going to the
DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering), we strolled along the
Wahyeon beach located next to Gonggogi.
When we looked around the DSME,
members all showed their amazement by its huge size.
At
the DSME, We listened to DSME’s history and visions at the promotion Hall. After
the speech, very fresh raw fish prepared by Lee Chul Sang, the vice president of
DSME, was waiting for us. All food was deliciously cooked and was
fresh!
Next was the long-waited Karaoke Night! Members all showed their
talents in singing and dancing. Especially, when Mr. Piganiol sang ‘hello
dolly’, we all thought Luis Armstrong was with us at that time. And we all
danced with PSY's famous Gangnam Style, imitating its signature dance
steps.
After having a quality bonding time, we all headed to hotel to
get rest for tomorrow.
On our second day of tour, we went to dock to
take a ferry to Oedo.
We arrived at Oedo after about 40
minutes.
Indeed, a true paradise in Korea, Oedo had an exotic view with
palm trees and cactuses, as if we were in some other place.
Due to the schedule of the ferry, we all had to come back to Geojedo to
board our flight on time.
We had very famous seafood soup for lunch
before we headed to the Kimpo Airport.
As we arrived at the Kimpo
Airport, we all said good-bye by hugging and shaking hands.
We would

us.
