Dear Korea CQ members, On November 25, Korea CQ had a Year-End Alumni Party & CQ 18 Graduation Party at Raum, the luxury social venue in Gangnam. As usual, most of the CQ members arrived on time, gathered around together, and shared friendly conversations at the reception.  At first, we all watched the video of flash back about CQ 18 members activities during this session. Sukbum Kim, Vice President of HSBC, received Perfect Attendance Award. John McPhee, Regional CEO of AIG, was awarded with Korea CQ Early Bird Award. And Eugene Bang, Country Head Director of DBS Band Korea, was gleefully awarded with Korea CQ Alumni Award. Lastly, H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Kuwaiti Ambassador, received the Korea CQ Grand Award. Congratulations again to all of the awardees!  After the award ceremony, Haelyung Hwang, President of Korea CQ Wine Club, proposed a toast, and we all had wonderful dinner specially prepared by the Raum which made a night more enjoyable. As sweet desserts were served, we had pleasant time to share good news of our members and congratulations for each other. Additionally, we puzzled out quiz on how much interest we have in Korea CQ 18 and Sukbum Kim, the most enthusiastic CQ 18 member, won the quiz.   Lastly, we shared memorable time with Korea CQ members who showed off their hidden talent. Starting from President of KCMI Mark Chung’s singing, President of Wearfrun Gee Chan Kwon, Executive Vice President of Renault Samsung Motors Dong Hoon Park, and President of Zuellig Pharma Korea Christophe Piganiol and Susan Ling sang with enthusiasm and passion. Director of JEONG-Ian Oriental Medicine Clinic Ian Jeong wore an elegant dress and sang an opera with her beautiful voice. Moreover, we were very much fascinated with saxophone performance by Eugene Bang, Country Head Directo of DBS Band Korea, and guitar performance by Joseph Young, Representative Director of Bureau Veritas Korea. Finally, the last performance was an exciting rock and roll dancing by Didier Beltoise, Presdient of Cs, and Beatrice Dierckx. All other members danced and sang songs together at the back. Dr. Jeong Ian received the Best Performer Award and sang ‘Longing for Mt. Geumgang’ as encore, and all our members gave a round of applause. Also the President of KCMI, Mark Chung and Beatrice Dierckx received Best Dresser Awards of the night.  President Choi introduced Korea 19 CQ program which will start on February 24, 2015, and special guest H.E. Arslan Hakan Okcal, Turkish Ambassador as well as many of our members showed their interest. The last part of the party was long-awaited lucky draw session. Special thanks to everyone for sponsoring valuable times, and big congratulations to all the lucky CQ members! Specially, we appreciate the President of Wearfun, Gee Chan Kwon who prepared mug sets and shared it with all our members. Everyone had at least one gift. Lastly, CICI would like to express our gratitude to Korea CQ 18 graduates, all CQ alumni who attended the event in spite of their busy schedules, Mi Kyung Claire Hong and Hyang Ok Jade Lim’s help as an emcee and an interpreter. Besides, we especially appreciate President Park Sung Chan for his warm-hearted generosity for providing this wonderful venue.
