Title Korea CQ - Epilogue of October's Wine Club

Dear Korea CQ members,

On October 22, Korea CQ October’s Wine Club was at Korean restaurant, ’24 Seasons’ at Gangnam.

October’s wine club was held by the generous support from Ian Jeong; Director of Jeong-Ian Oriental Medicine Clinic, a member of Korea CQ 12 and So Eun Park; Vice President of N. About, a member of Korea CQ 12.

James Bemowski, Haelyung Hwang, Christophe Piganiol, Susan Ling, Eugene Bang, Susanne Bemowski, Sherry Sungwon Hwang, Martin Tricaud, Isabelle Tricaud, Jae Woo James Park, John McPhee, Melissa McPhee, Jungwha Choi, Didier Beltoise, Si Eun Song, Bill Miner, Hyun Ju Lee, Hyung Taek Hong, and Soomin Jung were among the participants who attended the dinner.

24 Seasons is a Korean dining restaurant where you can enjoy the taste of seasons presented in different style such as Buddhist, royal and local cuisine.

Members arrived at the 24 seasons on time and shared the stories of each other during the reception with enjoying sparkling wine 'Kaiken Brut’ which is made by grapes from sustainable farming and snacks.

The dinner started by listening the concept of the October’s wine club ‘Organic Wine with Korean Food’ from Ian Jeong while enjoying porridge made with tofu, soymilk and has black bamboo salt for seasoning.

The atmosphere warmed up by toast of Christophe Piganiol and members appreciated the harmony of Cuttlefish plated with sauce made with abalone’s intestine & squid ink and ‘Chablis William Favre’, light bodied French white wine with citric taste.

Members enjoyed the taste of stir fried clams with small rice cake, and they listened about the wine they are tasting from So Eun Park.

By humorous toast of Bill Miner, the atmosphere was more enjoyable with full of laughters.

All members had grilled seasoned fish with lobster and Korean herb oil, as well as steamed black porkbelly with sauce made with soybean paste with ‘Organic Marrenon’, medium-light bodied red wine with fruity aroma and very good pairing with Korean middle course food. 

After, members enjoyed grilled beef with barley risotto with ‘Les Terrasse Alvaro Palacios’ Spanish red wine that is made with grape from bio-dynamic farming.

We sincerely appreciate Dr. Ian Jeong and Vice President So Eun Park for supporting valuable wines and the wonderful venue, also for all participants for making our wine club more enjoyable.

The upcoming wine club will be on November 19, 2015 sponsored by James Bemowski, Vice Chairman/CEO of Doosan Corporation and Haelyung Hwang, President of Lutronic. The reservation is first come first served and we will take the first 5 members.
