On January 10th, the 20th Korea Image Awards, CICI Korea 2024 took place. The event, which garnered significant attention beforehand, was a resounding success with over 500 attendees including foreigners, Korean opinion leaders, and influencers. Before the event started, a photo session took place as see in the photo below, with prominent figures such as CICI President Choi Jungwha, Didier Beltoise president of Cs, Kim Han-gil from the Presidential Committee of National Cohesion, CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik, JoongAng Media Network CEO Hong Seok-hyun, Genesis Vice President Mike Song, popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo, pansori singer Laure Mafo, Kim Dong-ho, Philippe Bertoux the French Ambassador to Korea, Dagmar Schmidt Tartagli the Swiss Ambassador to Korea, Chafik Rashedi the Moroccan Ambassador to Korea, Eric Teo the Singaporean Ambassador to Korea, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi the UAE Ambassador to Korea, Hong Seok-in the Public Diplomacy Ambassador, and Frantz Hotton the CEO of Pernod Ricard Korea.  The event started with the screening of 'The Great Mirage' Korean folk painting video by director Jaijin Chung.
CICI President Choi Jungwha delivered her opening remarks, officially starting CICI Korea 2024.
Kim Han-gil, the Presidential Committee of National Cohesion, and Dagmar Schmidt Tartagli, the Swiss Ambassador to Korea, gave congratulatory remarks.
The Korea Image Stepping Stone Award was given to Genesis, recognizing its contribution to promoting Korean identity as a unique luxury brand with over 1 million units sold worldwide. The award was received by Genesis Vice President Mike Song.
The Korea Image Stepping Stone Bridge Award was bestowed upon Swiss architect Mario Botta for his design of Korean landmarks such as the Leeum Museum of Art, Kyobo Gangnam Tower, and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Namyang.
The Korea Image Capstone Award was presented to popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo for his pioneering role in the popera genre in Korea, celebrating his 26th international debut anniversary.
The Korea Image Flowerstone Award was granted to Laure Mafo for her captivating interpretation of pansori, bridging cultural gaps and touching audiences worldwide.
Before starting dinner, toasts were proposed by CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik, JoongAng Media Network CEO Hong Seok-hyun, and Singaporean Ambassador to Korea Eric Teo.
Everyong enjoyed a special Korean dinner prepared at the InterContinental Coex Hotel, along with a teaser lucky draw.
Laure Mafo, recipient of the Korea Image Flowerstone Award, enthralled attendees with her performance of the pansori 'Love Song' in Korean and French.
The live auction was conducted with the auctioneer Joseph Young, CEO of Komet Company.
After dinner, Lim Hyung-joo, recipient of the Korea Image Capstone Award, captivated the audience with a special mini concert showcasing his beautiful voice.
As the silent auction results were announced, and lucky draw prizes were selected, the event drew to a close. Congratulations to all the lucky winners.
