Choi Jungwha's book K-Style introduces Korean culture to foreigners in both English and French. As a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and the President of Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI), she covers not only traditional Korean culture, but also modern cultural trends such as Chimaek (chicken and beer). Guy Sorman, an eminent French scholar, praised the book for revealing authentic Korean language, food, view of love, beautiful scenery and customs. The English version of 'K-Style' can be purchased through Kyobo Books, and both English and French versions can be purchased through CICI. 치맥·전세·먹방…한국 문화의 속살 K Style / 최정화 지음 / 디자인하우스 펴냄 김슬기 기자입력 : 2016.07.22 16:07:27  한국 국제 통역사 1호인 최정화 한국외국어대 교수(한국이미지커뮤니케이션연구원 이사장)는 1978년 꿈의 나라 프랑스에 처음 방문했다. 하지만 당시 한국은 잘 알려져 있지 않았고, 한국 문화와 한강의 기적을 소개하고 싶다는 열망은 이때부터 커져 갔다. 사반세기가 지나 최 교수는 프랑스어로 쓴 한국 문화 안내서를 직접 펴냈다. 영어와 프랑스어로 출간된 이 책은 중국인도 반하게 한 간식 '치맥'을 비롯해 명절에 도심이 텅텅 비는 이유, 5월이면 거리에 등장하는 오색 전등, 전세, 강남, 산후조리원 동창, 먹방 등 다양한 이야기를 들려준다. 최 교수는 "세계인이 한국 문화에 관심을 갖는 부분에 주목해 책을 썼다"고 설명했다. 책 추천사를 쓴 프랑스의 석학 기 소르망은 "한국 고유의 언어와 음식, 그들의 사랑관, 아름다운 풍광, 관습 등 내면의 비밀을 상세히 밝혔다"고 말했다.
