Like Brooklyn in NewYork, anyone who visits Seongdong-gu, can see the coexistence of alleyways and large-scale development areas.

But, in order for Seongdong-gu to become Brooklyn of Korea, Seongsu-dong needs to find more vitality.

Many point out that Seongsu-dong, which has become a "Hot Place" with a unique atmosphere of a mix of workshops and restaurants along the alleys, has also been in a slump due to the recent recession.
