Choi Jung Hwa, a professional interpreter for international conferences, stressed that "If you use your native language, 
you can express all your thoughts. For that reason it is very important to use native language in talks on issues of national interest. Her first interpretation was for former French President Francois Mitterrand and Korean President Chun Doo-hwan in 1986. Since then, she has been interpreted over 2,000 times including 18 bilateral talks, 24 international conferences among several countries like ASEM and other international conferences and also for former Korean Presidents; Chung Doo-hwan, Roh Tae-woo, Kim Young-sam, Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun.
