Today we rendez-vous with Jeff Benjamin, K-Pop columnist at Billboard! I first met Jeff when we participated in CICI's Culture Communication Forum, CCF 2019.
Jeff was one of the first to recognize the potential of BTS before they became such world renown stars, and for a long time he has been introducing K-Pop artists to the world such as Psy, BTS, GOT7 and more.
Through the interview, we talked about how he decided to become a music critic, when he first became interested in K-Pop, his thoughts on K-Pop soloists, his recent meeting with Psy, his favorite music, thoughts on trot music, the effects of technology on music, the power of music, and more!
