기발한 아이디어와 디자인으로 영국의 다빈치라고 불리는 건축가 토마스 헤더윅!

복합문화공간으로 탈바꿈한 옛 서울역사인 ‘문화역서울284’에서 진행중인 '헤더윅 스튜디오: 감성을 빚다’ 전시를 보고 왔습니다.

토마스 헤더윅이 1994년 설립한 헤더윅 스튜디오의 대표적인 디자인 작품들이 어찌나 놀라운지 예정한 시간을 훌쩍 넘어 점심도 늦게 먹었답니다.

상하이 엑스포의 영국관을 비롯해 구글의 신사옥 ‘베이뷰’, 새롭게 디자인된 런던의 명물 이층버스 '루트마스터', 런던 올림픽의 꽃잎 형태의 성화봉, 그리고 놀이기구를 탄 것 처럼 재미있는 의자 '스펀 체어'까지!

아직도 전시회 방문 당시 감흥이 오롯이 살아있는 이 특별한 전시를 영상을 통해 같이 볼까요?

Named the Da Vinci of our time, architect Thomas Heatherwick's works can be seen in Seoul!

Today I've come to see the 'Heatherwick Studio: Building Soulfulness' exhibition at the Culture Station Seoul 284.

Heatherwick Studio was founded in 1994 by Thomas Heatherwick, and at this exhibition, you can see some of his most famous works! I was so immersed in seeing everything, I didn't realize how much time had passed and missed my regular lunch time.

From the UK pavilion at the Shanghai Expo, Google's new 'Bay View', London's famous double-decker bus 'Routemaster', the petal-shaped torches of the London Olympics, to the fun 'Spun Chair'!
