3力으로 무장(?)한 세계적인 천재 피아니스트이자 쇼팽 국제 피아노 콩쿠르에서 한국인 최초로 우승한 조성진의 콘서트에 왔는데요. 연세대학교 노천극장에서 열린 이번 콘서트에는 무려 7000명이 참석을 했고, 온라인 생중계 방송에는 5000명이 몰렸다고 하니 조성진 피아니스트의 인기 정말 대단하죠? ‘조성진 그리고 쇼팽’이라는 테마로 열린 이번 콘서트에서는 쇼팽 콩쿠르에서 본인에게 우승을 안겨준 피아노 협주곡 1번과 국내에서는 최초로 선보이는 피아노 협주곡 2번 등 쇼팽의 아름다운 선율이 조성진 피아니스트의 손끝을 통해 전해졌답니다. 함께 무대에 오른 ‘지휘자 없는 현악단’ 크레메라타 발티카와 ‘클라리넷 신동’으로 주목받았던 클라리네티스트 김한과의 협주 또한 정말 환상 그 자체였습니다. 연주가 끝나고는 백스테이지에서 조성진 피아니스트를 일년만에 만나니 넘 반가웠답니다. 2009년 저희 CICI의 한국이미지시상식에 참가해 새싹상을 수상한 게 엊그제 같은데 세월이 참 빠른 것 같아요. 무르익어가는 가을밤을 피아노 선율로 수놓은 조성진의 무대 궁금하시죠? 영상에서 만나요~ I recently went to the world renowned genius pianist Seong-jin Cho's outdoor concert! The concert was held at the Yonsei University‘s Amphitheater, where 7000 people attended in person, and 5000 people attended through the livestream! At the concert, Seong-jin Cho played Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1, which was the piece that won him the Chopin competition, and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2, which he performed for the first time in Korea. The harmony with the ensemble Kremerata Baltica and also clarinetist Han Kim was also amazing. After the performance, I met Seong-jin backstage. It had been a year since I last saw him. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was handing him the CICI Korea 2009 Korea Image Budding Youth Award. I felt so proud to see him as a world renowned [ianist now.
