와이어 드레스로 평창동계올림픽 개폐회식을 놀래킨 의상 감독, 금기숙 교수님의 전시회로 여러분을 초대합니다. 평창 올림픽 개회식 때, 전 세계적으로 주목을 받았던 피켓 요원들의 독특하고 아름다웠던 눈꽃 의상 기억 하시나요? 바로 그 눈꽃 의상을 디자인 하셨던 금기숙 교수님의 패션아트 전시회를 다녀왔는데요, 철사와 구슬, 그리고 직접 염색한 실크를 엮어 아름다운 드레스, 활옷, 저고리, 수트까지 다양한 디자인을 볼 수 있었습니다. 또 저도 너무나 갖고 싶었던 '욕망의 사과'와 천장에서 내려온듯 매달린 방울 모양의 작품들도 볼 수 있었는데요, 그림자까지 아름다운 작품들을 보니 마치 꿈속 나라에 다녀온 것 같았답니다. 영상을 통해 같이 볼까요? Today I invite you to a special exhibition by professor Keysook Geum who was the costume designer of the Pyeongchang Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. Do you remember the beautiful snowflake like costumes of the picket bearers at the Pyeongchang Olympics? Professor Keysook Geum was the designer who created those beautiful dresses, and today I went to see her fashion art exhibition. Her works are created from wires, beads, and also silk which she dyes herself, creating wonderful dresses, traditional Korean clothing like hwarot, suits, and more. There was also the 'apple of desire' which I also really wanted, and grand pieces that looked like waterdrops falling from the ceiling. The experience felt like I was in a dream land.
