Our members gathered around together and had a friendly talk at the reception. 

At first, we all watched the video to see what Korea CQ17 members performed during their session. The main party started with Korea CQ 17 graduation and an award ceremony.

Francois Provost, CEO & Representative Director of Renault Samsung Motors, received the diploma on behalf of the Korea CQ 17 members. K Chung, design director of Gnesler Korea,was awarded with Korea CQ Concentration Award. And Sung Woo Choi, President of Ilmaek Cultural Foundation, received the “Must Rejoin” Award. Additionally, H.E. John Prasetio, Indonesian Ambassador, was awarded with the Korea CQ Culture Award. H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Kuwaiti Ambassador, was awarded with the Korea CQ Cooperation Award. Finally, H.E. Aingeal O’Donoghue, Irish Ambassador, received the Korea CQ Award. Congratulations again to all of the awardees!

After the award ceremony, we all watched the farewell video for President& Executive Director of L’Oreal Korea Richard Cymberg and his spouse Chantal Cymberg. Completing his term, they will leave Korea soon. They joined Korea CQ 9 in 2010 , since then they have done a lot of things together with CQ members. All CQ members were deeply moved by bringing back precious memories with them.

Right after President of Korea CQ Alumni Association Jay Hyuk Shim proposed a toast,  we all started delicious dinner cooked by head chef of the Orium. They were much pleased to enjoy from appetizer to dessert. Moreover, CEO of Maeil Dairies Seon Hee Kim provided opportunities for CQ members to taste a new product of Maeil Daireis, Baristar Low Sugar Espresso Latte.

As the tasty dinner was coming to an end, we all shared good news of our members and puzzled out quiz. Host of Arirang TV Susan Macdonald who was the last member to join Korea CQ 17  but actively participated in programs was the winner of quiz night.

President Eugene Bang from DBS Bank Korea ,who is known for his ability to play more than 100 instruments, prepared a very special performance for us. He especially brought flute and harpsichords to the Orium by himself. The Orium was filled with sounds of beautiful melody from harpsichordist Luisa Lee and President of Tafelmusik In-Bong Kang and President Bang.

After that, Korea CQ members showcased their hidden talent through Noraebang time. They danced and sang songs together. President of Zuellig Pharma Korea Christophe Piganiol received Best Performer award. 

And CEO of Lafarge Halla Cement Michel Puchercos and CFO of Hewlett-Packard Amelie Provost received Best Dresser Award of the night.

President Choi Jungwha introduced Korea 18 CQ program which will start on August 26, and many of our members showed their interest in it.

Besides, we had lucky draw time. Thank everyone once again for sponsoring valuable items, and big congratulations to all the lucky CQ members!

Lastly, CICI would like to express our gratitude to all CQ alumni and Korea CQ 17 graduates. Also we greatly appreciate Mi Kyung Claire Hong and Hyang Ok Jade Lim’s help as an emcee and an interpreter . Most importantly, we especially thank Chairman Tam and Vice Chairman Lee for their warm-hearted generosity from sharing beautiful venue and preparing wonderful dinner.
