Dear Korea CQ members, I hope you are having a good day! Yesterday, Korea CQ Wine Club was held at the 1-star Italian Michelin star chef Roberto Petza’s Italian restaurant ‘Harmonium’ located in Hannam-dong. This wine club was sponsored by Korea CQ 13 member Ha Joohyun, the president of Bioderma Korea Ltd. Members participated are: Ha Joohyun, Jay Hyuk Shim, Young Joseph, Go Youngha, Jeong Ian, Cho Curie, Park So yoon, Park Min Sun, Chung Yuni, Park So Eun, Kim Kwiyeon, Jae Woo James Park, Ian Jeong, Hyun Ju Lee, So Yoon Park, Choi Jungwha, Didier Beltoise, icholas Piccato, Ludolf-Ebner Chung, Mathieu Elie, Samia Mounts. For the special guest, CEO of Seoul Wines & Spirits Pierre-Andre Doucet and CEO of Mas Neuf Luc Baudet attended. Mr. Pierre-Andre Doucet and Mr. Luc Baudet specially visited Korea to experience Korea’s wine culture. For this April’s wine club, Ms. Ha Joohyun specially prepared the wines made from France Rhone region, southern part of Lyon where the headquarter of Bioderma is located. (The map of Rhone region) Upon the arriving, members of the wine club welcomed each other and had time to catch up with a glass of Sparkling wine, Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Brut. Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Brut is gold-colored sparkling wine and known as the best sparkling wine in Loire Valley. Soon, the dinner graciously prepared by the chef Roberto Petza was served with the ‘Rhône Paradox Condrieu 2011’, famous for its harvest methods; only few masters in France Terrior knows this technique. Following the main dish, the ‘Rhône Paradox Saint-Joseph 2011’ was provided and the members expressed how they feel the savor of the wine and shared their wine experiences. The atmosphere got more enjoyable as the wine perfectly fits with the dish prepared by Harmonium. With Mr. Luc Baudet's detailed and thorough explanations, members had a chance to understand the wines more deeply. Members had ‘Chartreuse Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé Green’ known as ‘the Queen of liquor’ after dinner. Chartreuse V.E.P. Green has been ripen in oak box for 12 years. In Chartreuse V.E.P Green, 130 kinds of herbs are in this wine and members tasted the fresh and mysterious savors this had. Mr. Do-Won Seol, the executive vice president of Homeplus Corporate kindly explained the Korea CQ Trip to TESCO Academy at Mueuido, which is scheduled on April 19-20. Members who are participating in this trip seemed very excited for this group trip. Members who will sponsor Wine Club in the following months are: Kwon Gee Chan, the chairman of Wearfun in June; Hyung Taek Hong, the Secretary General of East Asia Foundation, & Min Sun Park, the director of The Clean Clinic in August; Hyun Ju Lee, the president of Designon, & So Yoon Park, the representing researcher of Lemonade&Co. in October. The details of each events will be announced again.
