Dear Korea CQ members,

On December 1st, Korea CQ Winter Welcoming Alumni Gathering & CQ 20 Graduation was held at The Raum.

CQ members arrived on time and had catch up time with a glass of champagne.

After the welcoming message of President Jugnwha Choi, we watched a video on Korea CQ 20 to reflect on what we did during the term and memories shared with CQ 20 members. Then we commenced Korea CQ 20 graduation and an award ceremony.

Dr. Hakim Djaballah, CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea and Dr. Sharifah Haron were awarded with Korea CQ Cooperation Award. Prof. Myung Hee Oh, Professor of The Suwon University, received Korea CQ Concentration Award. Finally, H.E. Arslan Hakan Okcal, Turkish Ambassador, and Mrs. Pinar Okcal received the Korea CQ Grand Award.

Congratulations to all of the awardees.

With the special toasts of H.E. Jasem Albudaiwi, Kuwaiti Ambassador, and Jasmine Lee, congress woman, members appreciated the dinner specially prepared by The Raum.

The atmosphere warmed up when Mr. Christophe Piganiol, President of Zuellig Pharma Korea, offered a pleasant toast, ‘Together, All Together!”

As the tasty dinner was coming to an end, we shared our members’ good news and congratulated each other and solved the quiz. Dr. Hakim Djaballah, who actively participated despite of injury, was the winner of the quiz night.

After that, Korea CQ members showcased their hidden talent through CQ Culture Night. Dr. Ian Jeong and Mr. Eugene Bang were the first to start by performing ‘Schafe konnen sicher weiden,’ ‘Ei, wei schmeckt der Kafee sube, and ‘Oh Holy Night’ together with harpsichord and flute players. Ms. Joohyun Ha sang ‘Karma Chameleon,’ Prof. Myung Hee Oh sang ‘Camellia Lady,’ Ms. Jasmine Lee sang ‘Someone like you,’ Mr. Mark Chung sang ‘It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas,’ Mr. Joseph Young sang ‘Stand by Me,’ Dr. Sharifah Haron sang ‘Tennessee Waltz,’ and H.E. Raul Hernandez sang ‘Feelings.’

Ms. Jasmine Lee, Congress woman, received the Best Performer Award and Ms. Joohyun Ha, CEO of Bioderma Korea, and Mr. Eugene Bang, Country Head Director of DBS Bank Korea received the Best Dresser Awards of the night.

President Choi introduced Korea CQ 21 program which will start on February 23, and many members showed their interests.

Last but not least, we had lucky draw time.
