Title Korea CQ - Epilogue of August's Wine Club

Dear Korea CQ members,

On August 18, Korea CQ August's Wine Club was held at Pabulla, Schezuan Chinese Cuisine located at Cheongdam.

August's wine club was held by Young Joseph and Go Youngha.

Martin Tricaud, Sung Ju Lee, Sunny Han, Jae Woo Park, Mark Chung, Mathieu Elie, Eun Jung Kim, Hyung Taek Hong, Min Sun Park, Jasmine Lee, Won Hee Yoo, Didier Beltoise, Junghwa Choi attended this event.

Members arrived at Pabulla to taste Schezuan cuisine, one of the four representative cuisine in China, and conversed with each other during the reception while enjoying Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Magnum.

Dinner commenced with a welcome remark from Young Joseph and members enjoyed the amuse buche of Foie gras and toast with champagne.

Members enjoyed the tastily prepared main dishes; fresh yam porridge, starched jelly with Sichuan sauce, jellyfish and cucumber with extra aged vinegar, sliced beef in Sichuan sauce, abalone and mushroom soup, steamed bass with grilled pepper sauce.

In this wine club, wines Domain Louis Michel & Fils, Chablis Premier Cru 2010, Boucharf Pere & Fils Le Corton Grand Gru 2011, and E. Guigal Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde de Guigal, Rhone, France 2009 were served

Starting with the comment on Chablis Premier Cru and witty joke 'When explaining wine, say "great balance" and you will be a wine specialist' by Martin Tricaud, Mark Chung, Mathieu Elie, Hyung Taek Hong, Min Sun Park and Won Hee Yoo, Eun Jung Kim, Sunny Han exchanged views on the harmony of food and wine.

As a special event for CQ members, Young Joseph played a Hawaiian traditional instrument called ukulele, lifting the atmosphere even more.

Also, Jasmine Lee exchanged warm greetings and heartwarming talks, and sang 'You are my Sunshine' accompanied by ukulele

It was a heartwarming dinner, explaining that the name of a restaurant 'Pabulla' means 'afraid it will not be spicy' in Chinese pronunciation, with one of the most famous liquor in China called Swellfun, Chef's special recipe Pork-belly, Mapo tofu with steamed rice and Sichuan beef noodle.

Dinner ended with lemon flavored tiramisu.

We sincerely appreciate all participants for making our wine club more enjoyable and give special thanks to restaurant Pabulla for their consideration and fabulous cuisine.

We would like to announce that the next wine club will be held on October 6th, supported by Bill Miner, country chairman of Chevron. Please kindly note the date and we look forwards to our members' unwavering interest and support.
