Dear Korea CQ members, I
hope you are having a great day. On November 26, Korea CQ Winter Welcoming Alumni Gathering was
held in the Namsan Ⅲ Room
at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. CQ members dressed in Red and
White, the dress code of the evening, arrived on time and had time to catch up
with each other.
The gathering started with a
welcoming speech by President Choi Jungwha. Then, participants watched a short
video clip, “2018 CICI Activities” so that
members could look back at the enjoyable memories and see what CICI supporters
and Korea CQ members did to promote Korean culture to the world. We then commenced the award
ceremony to recognize those who passionately participated in and supported Korea CQ forums and CICI's activities. H.E. Bader Mohammad Ibrahim
Al-Awadi, Kuwaiti Ambassador was awarded the Korea CQ Corporation Award. Young
ha go, CEO of AMC Asia and Joseph Young, Representative
Director of
Bureau Veritas Korea was awarded the Korea CQ Alumni award. Congratulations to
all of the awardees. Next, H.E. Bader Mohammad
Ibrahim Al-Awadi, Kuwaiti Ambassador, H.E. Mozes Csoma, Hungarian Ambassador,
H.E. Michael Danagher, Canadian Ambassador, and H.E. Philip Turner, New Zealand Ambassador, gave toasts and the dinner began.
Members had a very pleasant
dinner that Grand Hyatt Seoul had prepared for the evening. We then shared good news of our CQ Member’s
and CICI supporters and congratulated each other’s
wonderful news. Through the quiz night, we could feel the members’ passion towards Korea CQ Forums and their
affection for culture. After the heated
rounds, Ms. Haewon Park, CEO of CHABIO F&C, was the winner of the quiz
night.
Following the Quiz Night, participants played “Guess what’s
behind the puzzle” game where each team had to guess what
the given image behind the puzzle is. Members were separated by tables into six
teams, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple, and Pink and participated in the game
very passionately. After the heated rounds, Ms. Haewon Park’s
Yellow Team won the “Guess what’s
behind the puzzle!” game. Next, participants played the “Charades”game. Mr. Joseph Young’s
Green Team won the game by a landslide showing perfect teamwork and getting all
the images right. The Yellow and Green team that won the game were given “100billion Lactobacilli Makgeolli” sponsored by Mr. Sang Min Bae, Director of Kooksoondang Sales Division as reward. The best dressers of the day
were Professor Sung Ju Lee and H.E. Michael Danagher, Canadian Ambassador who
fit perfect with the Red
and White dress
code.
Lastly, participants had
lucky draw time. Congratulations to all the winners. We also thank Seon Hee Kim, CEO of Maeil Dairies, and Sang Hyun Lee, President of Taein, for sponsoring Maeil 'Selects' protein bar and West End & Co. Barber Shop vouchers for all participants. Last but not least, we would like to thank all Korea CQ members and CICI supporters for your participation, and Ms. Crystal Park for her interpretation. Thank you once again for your participation and we look forward to
your continuous support for Korea CQ and CICI. Please contact CICI bureau (02-424-0049) if you are interested in Korea CQ and would like to recommend your friends-associates. Best wishes, Korea CQ Alumni For more pictures, please click: http://photos.app.goo.gl/HWJXti6gqviZtT6W8
