Dear Korea CQ members, On February, Korea CQ February’s Wine Club was held at Restaurant 24 Street located at Pil-dong. February’s wine club was held by the generous support from Park Min Sun; Director of The Clean Clinic, member of Korea CQ 6, 11 and Hong Hyung Taek; Secretary General of Ease Asia Foundation, member of Korea CQ 10. James Bemowski, Susanne Bemowski, Sandrine Spriet, Christophe Piganiol, Susan Ling, Johan Vandromme, Hwang Haelyung, Bang Eugene, Chung Mark, Park So Eun, Suh Hyuk Jin, Yang Cindy, Park Jae Woo James, and Choi Jungwha were the participants who attended the dinner. Members arrived at the Restaurant 24 Street on time and shared the stories of each other during the reception with enjoying the light sparkles of 'POMMERY Brut Royal’
The dinner started by enjoying the mariage of fresh oyster with Italian dressing and champagne.
Members enjoyed the taste of Prosciutto-melon and garden salad & Fresh salmon ceviche marinated with herb and grapefruit with Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay 2013, white wine that has acidity and scent of vanilla.
Christophe Piganiol, president of Zuellig Pharma Korea explained how Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay 2013 and fresh salmon ceviche brings up the flavor of each other.
While listening about the wine they are tasting from Hong Hyung Taek, members appreciated the tomato pasta with cockle and octopus with Tignanello 2010, red wine with firm tannins and notes of red fruit.
James Bemowski, Vice Chairman of Doosan Corporation, added the comment that Tignanello 2010 is one of his favorite wine and it got 96 points from wine critic, James Suckling. All members had Hong Kong style steamed rockfish, specially recommended by Park Dong Hoon, president of Restaurant 24 street and member of Korea CQ, and steak with Baron Nathaniel 2012, dry red wine that has fine balance between oak and fruit.
The dinner course was ended with homemade style cheese cake with SANDEMAN Porto Tawny 10 Years Old, full-bodied with elegant and complex aroma. Also, February’s Wine Club is our last gathering as a president of Korea CQ Wine Club. We really appreciate for your support and Christophe Piganiol, president of Zuellig Pharma Korea and Mark Chung, President of KCMI will lead the wine club.
