Dear Korea CQ members, I hope you are having a great day. On June 19, Korea CQ Summer Welcoming Alumni Gathering was held in the Namsan Ⅲ Room at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. 
CQ members dressed in Blue and White, the dress code of the evening, arrived on time and had time to catch up with each other, also a magic demonstration performed at the reception by Ed Kwon, highly praised by the world famous magician David Copperfield, took over the atmosphere. 
The gathering started with a welcoming speech by President Choi Jungwha. Then, participants watched a short video clip of Korea CQ 25, and the members could look back at the enjoyable memories and learn what CICI and Korea CQ does to promote Korean culture to the world. We then commenced the award ceremony to recognize those who passionately participated in Korea CQ forums. 
H.E Dato' Rohana Ramli, the Malaysian Ambassador, was awarded Korea CW Culture Award. H.E Yip Wei Kiat, the Singapore Ambassador, received the Korea CQ Cooperation Award. Last but not least, the Korea CQ Creativity Award was given to Erwan Vilfeu, the CEO of Nestle. Congratulation to all of the awardees. 
Along with the award ceremony, members watched a farewell video for H.E Dato' Rohana Ramli, the Malaysian Ambassador, who is leaving Korea soon and going back to Malaysia. Through the video, CQ members were reminded once again of the passion and love H.E Dato' Rohana Ramli had shown us. Next, members watched a farewell video for Erwan Vilfeu, CEO of Nestle, who is leaving Korea. Through the video, all CQ members could reminisce our memories with them. Following the video, H.E Clare Fearnley and H.E. Arslan Hakan Okcal delivered beautiful farewell speeches, reminiscing past CQ forums. After the farewell speech, Haelyung Hwang, President of Lutronic, and Seung Whan Song, President of PMC Production, gave warm-hearted toasts and the dinner began. Members had a very pleasant dinner that Grand Hyatt Seoul had prepared for the evening. After members had a taste of the Lucky Draw as they had desserts, we then watched a video of our Member’s News and congratulated each other’s wonderful news. 
A mind blowing magic performance, performed by Ed Kwon, took place within members most enthusiastic cheers. Through the quiz night, we could feel the members’ passion towards Korea CQ 24 Forums and their affection to the world culture. Mr. Joseph Young, Representative Director of Bureau Veritas Korea, was the winner of the quiz night. 
Following the Quiz Night, participants played “Speed Game” where members had to look at fast moving pictures and guess what it is. Members were separated by tables into six teams, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple, and Pink and participated in the game very passionately. After the heated rounds, Mr. Joseph Young’s Yellow Team won the “Speed Game”. Next, participants had Noraebang Time, the highlight of the night’s event. 
Ms. Sherry Sungwon Hwang, Executive Director of DBS, kicked off the session by singing “New York New York”, emotionally touching every by the heart. Next, Ms. Jasmine Lee, President of the Filipino-Korean Heritage Association (FILKOHA), livened up the mood with “Proud Mary”. Following that, Mr. Mark Chung, President of KCMI, sang “ Just the way you are” and H.D Yip Wei Kiat, the Ambassador of Singapore and H.E Dato’ Rohana Ramli, Ambassador of Malaysia, sung a Korean song “Mannam” in duet within perfect harmony. Last but not least, Mr. Steve SB Kim, Executive Director of HSBC, impressed the audience with his deep and sonorous voice by singing “Miryon”. After Noraebang Time, members watched a video of upcoming programs such as CCF Forum and members visiting programs, as well as the 2018 “Korea through the Lens, Video & Photography” contest. 
The vote for the best performer was finalized, the winner of Noraebang Time turned out to be Ms. Jasmine Lee, President of the Filipino-Korean Heritage Association (FILKOHA), who sung “Proud Mary”. 
The best dressers of the day were Mr. Stephane Lo, Executive Managing Director of KL Limited, who looked very stylish with his blue tie, and Ms. Yoon Jung Park, President of Mint Tour, with beautiful white jacket and blue dress. Lastly, participants had lucky draw time. Congratulations for all the winners. We thank again Ms. Joohyun Ha, CEO of NAOS Korea, for preparing Esthederm mini sets for all participants and cosmetic sets for the Lucky Draw.
