Dear Korea CQ members,
I hope you are staying healthy in this yellow dust. Yesterday on March 18, Korea CQ members had a Hyundai Card Tour.
The members who had participated are H.E. Jerome Pasquier, H.E. Dusan Bella & Eugenia Bellova, Alexandra Prasetio, James B. Bemowski, Didier Beltoise, Joris Dierckx & Beatrice Dierckx, Samia Mounts, Gilles Ouvrard, Sandrine Spriet, Frederique Puchercos, Dan Winey, K Chung, Susan MacDonald, Jungwha gwha, Yongwon Choi, David Choi, Isabelle Kang Choi, Hyang Ok Jade Lim, Jae Woo James Park, Heesook Jung, Jay Kim, Dong Hoon Park, Ian Jeong, Eunyoung Kim, Fay Cho, Cindy Yang, and Juhyun Meng. As Hyundai Card is well known for its innovative management system and its work culture, the company building is equipped with Ping-Pong tables, bikes, a post office, a fitness center for weight training, kendo, and boxing, and restaurants, etc. Especially, there were bikes for children so that the employees and their families could enjoy their leisure time during weekends. Hyundai Card Press Room and the powder room for guests were open to CQ members. The surface of the wall were decorated with the photos of world famous artists who joined the Hyundai Card Super Concert and our members were so curious about who will be the next guest for the concert. Especially, our members were privileged to look around the Hyundai Card Design Lab as the lab is not opened to visitors in general. In the space, company documents, and every Hyundai-card-like products are designed and made. Also, they are doing the design works at the lab such as 'My Taxi', which is in a collaboration with Seoul government. Although this space is being used temporarily during the rennovation of the original design lab, the space had the distinct Hyundai Card's image and Eco-friendly interior design.
The next session was the welcome speech from Ted Chung, the CEO of Hyundai Card, and the company overview from the staffs from Hyundai Card. We learned that the company values ‘how innovative are we’ rather than ‘how much have we expanded’. All throughout the tour, we could feel and understand the Hyundai Card Culture and their values through the interior design of the building. After the tour, we enjoyed the dinner specially organized by Ted Chung. The three kinds of menus were Beef sirloin with asparagus and pear relish, barley risotto with seabass fillet, and Jeju seaweed bibimbap with chive soup and the wines were sponsored by Jean-Manuel Spriet, our Korea CQ 13~16 member & the president/CEO of Pernod-Ricard Korea. We thank you to all of our members who made the night more enjoyable and especially to Mr. Ted Chung for hosting the tour and also to Mr. Jean-Manuel Spriet for sponsoring the wines.
Thank you very much. |
