April CQ Wine Club was sponsored by James Bemowski and Susanne Bemowski at
W Hotel Kitchen. W hotel is a very modern and chic place as you saw and theme
of the night was ‘Californian Wine Dinner.’ The Wine Club was fully booked as usual. Members who attend the club was: James Bemowski, Susanne Bemowski, Christophe Piganiol, Susan Ling, Vincent
Bernard, Eve Law-Thime, Ludolf Ebner-Chung, Mathieu
Elie, Nicolas Piccato, Samia Mounts, Didier
Beltoise, Mike Kang, Youngha Go, Min Sun Park, Jae Woo James
Park, Seung Ju Baek, Do-Won Seol, Jay Hyuk Shim, Joseph
Young, Sahng-Gyoun Bryan Lee, Ian Jeong, Juyeon Cho, Min
Young Ju, Jungwha Choi, Sunny Han, Kee Ho Ham, Hyung Taek Hong. And there were special guests,
Philip Lilue and Lily Lilue. Members had a cocktail reception first at Woobar. James Bemowski and
Susanne Bemowski brought Palmina-Lumina 2010 Sparkling Nebbiolo from Santa
Maria Valley. Members greeted each other with the rose champagne. After the greeting at Woobar, we moved to Kitchen to start the night.
James Bemowski made a toast to officially open the Wine club. It was Jay Hyuk Shim's birthday, so Didier Beltoise toasted for his
birthday and everybody sang a happy birthday song for him! Dinner started with salad of langoustine & avocado mojo emulsion and
grilled foie gras salad & sweet riesling 'montinore floric' gelle with
Kistler Chardonnay 2006. After that, members had monkfish tail chorizo, potato, sage &
artichokes with Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Olivet Lane 2005, and it continued
with slow cooked veal osso bucco mushroom risotto with Williams Selyem
Zinfandel Forchini Vineyard 2005. Last main dish was sous vide beef short rib
delice pommard truffle cheese, confit potatoes & port glaze with Bond
Matriarch 2002 Cabernet Blend. After the dinner we had a surprise birthday cake and congratulated his
birthday again. The night ended with valrhona chocolate torte & salted caramel ice
cream with Andrew Murray 2005 and St. George Single Malt Whisky. Thank you very much for James Bemowski and Susanne Bemowski for
brining all the good wine. It did made a very special night. Also, thank you
again for CQ members who always love our Wine Club. Your friendship made the
