Hidden Tourist Attraction where 200,000 Thais visit… Story is the power Last year, 13.3 million foreign tourists visited South Korea. Although the number of foreign tourists has decreased in the aftermath of the Sad crisis, Korea is still a hot country thanks to the Korean Wave. In the MasterCard survey released in September last year, Seoul ranked seventh in the world's most populated city with foreign visitors. As a result, the number of foreign tourists has increased and there is a phenomenon that has not happened before. There are now many places that are famous among the tourists but are not well known to Koreans. These places have something in common. There are unique stories behind these places that foreigners know better than Koreans do. Waujeongsa Temple is famous in Southeast Asia with its story of granting others’ wishes. Also, Camp Greaves in Paju has become a popular tourist destination after ‘The Descendants of the Sun’ was filmed there. After all, it is the power of story-telling that have made these places popular. |
