Dear Korea CQ Members, On January 11th, the Korea Image Awards, CICI Korea 2023, was held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI). We would like to share the precious and vivid moments of the event which attracted much interest with all the CICI Supporters. More than 400 foreign and Korean opinion leader and influencers gathered for this year Korea Image Awards ceremony making it a resounding success. H.E. Maria Castillo-Fernandez, H.E. Philip Goldberg, H.E. Chafik Rachadi, CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik, H.E. Park Jin, Figure Skating Queen Yuna Kim, H.E. Deyab Farhan Al Rashidi, Poongsan Group Chairman Jin Roy Ryu, H.E. Anne Kari Hansen Ovind, H.E. Philippe Lefort, H.E. Phillip Turner, H.E. Chring Botumrangsay, H.E. Colin Crooks, H.E. Federico Failla, H.E. Eric Teo, Yeo Si-jae International Advisory Committee Chairman Kim Won-soo, Promising Swimmer Hwang Sun-woo, CICI President Choi Jungwha, Cs President Didier Beltoise took a picture at the photo zone. 
CICI President Choi Jungwha gave a brief introductory greeting at the beginning of CICI Korea 2023. 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Park Jin and the US ambassador to Korea H.E. Philip Goldberg then gave congratulatory remarks to celebrate the beginning of the New Year. 
The Korea Image Stepping Stone Award was given to Lee Jung Jae, who won the Emmy Award for Best Actor for his role in ‘Squid Game’ and successfully transformed his career as a director with the espionage action film ‘Hunt’. 
Figure Skating Queen Yuna Kim was awarded the Korea Image Cornerstone Award for her constant contribution to boost national prestige with her amazing records. 
Korean promising swimmer Hwang Sunwoo received the Korea Image Budding Youth Award. 
Lastly, Euro Fashion Houses won the Korea Image Stepping Stone Bridge Award for its contribution to promote the genuine charm of Korean culture on the global fashion scene. 
Before the dinner, toasts were offered by CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik and New Zealand Ambassador H.E. Phillp Turner. 
While enjoying a special Korean dinner, the guests had a joyful time thanks to auctioneer Joseph Young, CEO of Komet, and the teaser lucky draw. Congratulations to the winners! 
After dinner, the guests listened to a performance consisting of a guitar and traditional instruments by the guitarist Kwon Chung-Goo and the Verdiani Ensemble. The performance resonated with every guest in the room. 
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to CICI supporters for making CICI Korea 2023 such a success. Thanks to your presence at the event, on the SNS and thanks to the in-depth coverage by the media, CICI has attracted even more attention. 
We will work even harder to promote Korea’s Image to the world. We also would like to thank every participant and we will do our best to make next year's CICI Korea 2024 a rich and enjoyable event. |
