On April 19th, a special lecture on Hanbok by Tchai Kim was held at the Indian Ambassador's Residence.  The forum was held in accordance to the social distancing regulations, and H.E. Sripriya Ranganathan, Mukund Santhanam, H.E Mozes Csoma, Sumni Man, Youngjin Kim (Tchai Kim), Joseph Young, James Park, Richard Choi, Young-jin Oh, Eugene Bang, Hyekyung Kim, Hooran Kim, Seungju Baek, Youn Joung Park, Brian Harris, Hyojin Chung, Choi Jungwha, and Didier Beltoise attended.  The Indian Ambassador warmly welcomed everyone.  Members enjoyed the delicious Indian dinner specially prepared by the Ambassador, paired with wine that enriched the flavors even more.  Choi Jungwha, President of CICI, introduced everyone, and shared good news of our members.  Youngjin Tchai Kim's Hanbok lecture soon started.  Youngjin Kim worked in the luxury field for a long time, and with that experience, designed and made many costumes for cultural contents such as films, theater, opera, Korean traditional opera, dramas, pansori, etc. Her work especially in the global hit series 'Mr. Sunshine' and film 'Love, Lies' gained a lot of attention. She has also contributed to promoting the beauty of Korean hanbok - the colors, unique fabric, and more - to the world through various exhibitions and fashion shows. Through the lecture, she shared her thoughts on the beauty of hanbok, as well as her design philosophy. Right now, her 'Tchai Kim' brand is the base for her traditional hanbok, creating Korean silhouettes for both Korean and overseas customers. After the lecture, there was a lively Q&A session. We would like to thank Youngjin Kim for the interesting lecture, and H.E. Sripriya Ranganathan and Mukund Santhanam RE 100 for inviting us to their residence for this wonderful evening.
