Experiencing the traditional Māori performance by Auckland's 'Te Ahi Kaa Cultural Academy' right in the heart of Seoul was a truly remarkable experience! It was also touching to witness the moment when singer Paul Kim was appointed as a New Zealand Cultural Ambassador. Why was Paul Kim, who sang the OSTs for K-dramas I loved, like 'Hotel Del Luna', 'The Glory', and most recently 'Queen of Tears', appointed as a New Zealand Cultural Ambassador? Today we explore the traditional Māori 'haka' dance and also delve into the history since their first settlement in New Zealand.
